The Human Resource Department coordinates district recruitment, employment, employee policies and compliance. The Human Resource staff consists of Lori Boots, Human Resource Officer; Juanelda Lee, Receptionist; and Tami Gardenhire, Substitute Coordinator.
Employment opportunities at Muskogee Public Schools include a variety of positions in the areas of administrative, certified, support, and substitute employment.
The district school sites are staffed with a full complement of personnel, including teachers, counselors, librarians, administrators, integration specialists, food service staff, secretarial staff, custodial staff, academic tutors, and parent liaisons. There are currently 472 certified staff, 332 non-certified staff, and approximately 131 substitute teachers on file. Thirty-six (36) teachers are recognized as National Board Certified Teachers.
The Board of Education Service & Technology Center (B.E.S.T. Center) is staffed with personnel who perform district-wide functions, including the management of curriculum, professional development training programs, technology resources, special education services, on-line student computer services, community mentoring services, GED services, substitute calling services, paraprofessional testing, those who manage and support financial aspects of the district, such as payroll, receipt and management of funding, payment of invoices, and other critical business functions.
